Dr. Cecil White is the Chief Executive Officer of the University Hospital of the West Indies. He is a leadership practitioner and process improvement specialist with over 25 years’ senior level management experience, in the public and private sectors. Prior to his appoint at the University Hospital, he held the position of Senior Vice President of Operations & Corporate Planning at the National Health Fund, an organization he has worked with for over 10 years.
Dr. White earned a Doctor of Education Degree (EdD), summa cum laude, with a concentration in Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. He obtained his Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Barry University, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemistry & Applied Physics from the University of the West Indies. Additionally, he is a certified project manager and holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) credential, and is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSBB).
He is a global volunteer for the Project Management Institute (PMI), and currently serves as a member of an Advisory Group. He is also a member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ), and has participated in the judging of the International Team Excellence Awards.
Dr. White also serves as a Justice of the Peace and is a member of the Lay Magistrates Association.
